Pack 51 is one of the largest and oldest Cub Scout packs in the Salem/Roanoke Valley area. Chartered by First United Methodist Church in Salem, we have scouts from the four Salem elementary schools as well as from Roanoke County. Our Scouts and leaders are a diverse group from all walks of life with a common belief that by promoting the values and skills learned in scouting, it will help us prepare our children for the future.

Pack 51 is a very strong pack which consistently achieves the Quality Unit Award. It provides an excellent scouting program which includes activities, outings, and service projects that are fun and exciting while building self esteem, friendships, and character.

Meetings are held on Tuesday nights at First United Methodist Church. Tiger meetings are held at 6pm and the other dens meet between 6-8pm. Pack meetings are generally held the fourth Tuesday of each month at 7pm. We follow the Salem school calendar-- if Salem schools are out that Tuesday, we do not meet (including bad weather cancellations).
